Assetto Corsa (1) is currently nearing its 9th anniversary since its release and still remains a much-loved simulator among fans. Additionally, anticipation is high for its second title in the series, which, from what is known so far, is set to be available in the autumn of next year.
Thanks to its status as a beloved and highly respected simulator among SimRacers, and particularly due to the dedicated modders who keep it alive and thriving, the online competition platform LowFuelMotorsport has included Assetto Corsa among its daily competitive simulators.
Assetto Corsa on LFM
LowFuelMotorsport was born thanks to Assetto Corsa Competizione, where a 'iRacing-style' system was created through licenses and scheduled events. Following this success, it expanded to rFactor 2 and, finally, to Assetto Corsa.
At the moment, in an alpha and very early phase, we only have two events available:
- Mazda Challenge: Mazda MX5 Cup / 20 min.
- Prototype Challenge: Duwoueine D08 LMP3 / 30 min.
Of course, in each event, much like in ACC, it indicates which mods are necessary and which simulator DLCs we need to compete in specific series.
With a pilot licensing system, safety rankings, and incident measures in each race, Assetto Corsa is ready to revive that underexplored multiplayer aspect.
