Tracks

Willow Springs

One of America's most outstanding hidden treasures for road racers, Willow Springs International Motorsports Park in Rosamond, California, is a complex of multiple, diverse and challenging circuits. Headlined by the 2.5-mile Willow Springs track, also known as "Big Willow," the complex opened in November 1953, making it the oldest permanent racetrack in the United States; in 1996, it was also declared a California Historic Landmark.

"Big Willow" features challenging elevation changes, technical corners and some of the most picturesque scenery of any track in the West. The nine-turn layout begins with a tight left-hand turn exiting the long main straight, but also features multiple long, sweeping right-hand turns and a tricky complex comprising turns 3 through 5. The track has hosted everything from the NASCAR Cup Series in the 1950s to low-budget endurance racing today. It is also well loved in the amateur racing community for producing exciting competitions with an accessible but fun layout.

MotorLand Aragón

One of Spain's newest permanent racing circuits, MotorLand Aragon began construction in the winter of 2005 and opened nearly four years later. Designed by Hermann Tilke, one of many circuits around the world, the circuit hosts a wide variety of national and international car and motorcycle events, ranging from touring and GT cars to major single-seater divisions.

The Aragon Grand Prix circuit is 3.321 miles long and features 18 turns, as well as two main straights: one that includes the finish line and another after the 90-degree turn at Turn 15. The length of the latter depends on the configuration; for cars, it heads into a tight hairpin at Turn 16, while the motorcycle layout skips this section for a more gradual Turn 16 that flows directly into the main straight. Aragon also has a smaller domestic layout that goes into the inside of the circuit after Turn 2 and takes riders onto the back straight.
