Forza Motorsport is officially available to the public. We've been testing it for a while, and perhaps soon there might be a review on the website for you to read our thoughts and the dilemmas we have regarding this new release from Turn10 Studios.

Forza Motorsport for PC is the equivalent of Forza Motorsport 8, but it's more of a reboot of the original game than a direct continuation, which is why it doesn't have a number in its title. It is a car racing simulation video game. This new game features over 500 cars with 800 upgrades (upgrades must be earned, they are specific to each car, and are obtained by spending time in the car and accumulating XP), including some from all eras of vehicle racing (80 from all eras), and 100 of them are new to the game.

We remind you that this setup is still personal. Even if you try our configuration, you can edit some parameters to suit your individual preference.

Logitech G HUB Configuration

The first thing we should check in Logitech G HUB, Logitech's program where we can configure our Logitech G29 steering wheel, is if we are up-to-date with Firmware updates. Click on the gear icon to access the device settings, and in the upper left corner, you will see the Firmware version and whether it's up-to-date.

Once we have noted the version, we can adjust our steering wheel, its degrees of rotation, sensitivity, etc. Personally, the best configuration for Forza Motorsport is as follows:

Logitech G HUB

  • Sensitivity: 50%
  • Operating Range (Angle): 900º
  • Centering Strength: 0

I recommend deactivating centering intensity and the centering system. This causes the wheel itself to want to return to center while playing, creating a false sensation and dampening the Force Feedback from the game itself.

Setting up Forza Motorsport

The first thing we'll encounter once we enter the Settings > Advanced Input section, will be about the dead zones for the pedals and the steering itself. By default, Forza Motorsport includes a 5% dead zone, we'll get rid of that. This is the configuration you should assign. (You can adjust your dead zones depending on your preferences)

Once done with the dead zones of the device, if we continue scrolling down in the same Advanced Input section, we will find the Force Feedback settings. We emphasize that Forza Motorsport, at least with this device, doesn't have very strong Force Feedback, but this is the best configuration to feel everything around us in our hands.

Force Feedback Forza Motorsport

  • Vibration Scale: 100%
  • Force Feedback Scale (personal)127%
  • Steering Self Alignment: 90%
  • Mechanical Trail Scale: 135%
  • Pneumatic Trail Scale: 90%
  • Road Feel Scale: 115%
  • Load Sensitivity: 60%
  • Wheel Damping Scale: 0%
  • Center Spring Scale: 30%
  • Dynamic Damper Behavior: 30%
  • Steering Sensitivity: 50%
  • Steering Linearity (personal): 54%

I consider this configuration to be the best for those who own a Logitech G29 (or its variants), as it can recall the Force Feedback in other simulators like Assetto Corsa Competizione or iRacing.
